Die Unendliche Geschicte

Okay, not exactly. According to all web sites, first day of summer is June 21st, the Summer Solstice. But I don't care. I'd like to think my birthday is in the summer, since it has not rained on my birthday for as long as I can remember.

Hence.....SUMMER IS HERE!

Last summer slipped away without me even noticing, so this summer I am definitely going to use it to the fullest and soak up the wonderful sun and fun!

Sometimes, even the toughest of people, can be craving for love.

Maybe because of loneliness, maybe because of boredom. Nonetheless, we are desperately wanting to be in love.

So we went for anything that moves, anything that was capable in giving us a look, a hug, or a kiss. But that wasn't enough...and that was definitely not love; maybe lust.

Then we tried to grab onto anything that our souls desired; someone who laughed at the same joke, someone who loved the same music, someone who read the same book. And even so, it still wasn't enough....that was just a really good friend.

And then we find it. The perfect combination of it all, and they like us too!

But there are so many hurdles still, so much baggage each of us still carries. Will we be a good fit? Only time can tell. Until then, we're just so desperately in love...desperately wanting to be in love.

All my Canadian friends (more specifically the French Canadians) have been telling me about this “disgusting” dish named Poutine, more or less French fries with cheese curds on it. Like any food, as time goes by, different variations of poutine got created. With gravy, dressings, foie gras, you name it.

Has anyone ever consider dipping Wendy’s French fries in Frosty as a variation of Poutine? (Does it sound gross? Don’t judge until you tried!)

I have always somewhat devilishly proud that I once was got caught at 82mph at a 50mph zone in someone else's car with no insurance and registration in the car yet was not ticketed, but my good citation karma has finally ended today.

My first moving violation citation....And all because of a broken tail light!

So while happily off to Una Mas for lunch today, just right about when I pulled into the shopping area, a siren went off behind me. Confused, I pulled over and took off my seat belt (still don't know why I did that). Office came by and told me he pulled me over for broken tail light and that I wasn't wearing seat belt. Rey and I both protested about the seat belt. As he asked for my license and insurance, I realized I forgot to bring my wallet and both are in it! (Note to self, just bring your entire purse next time.) Great!

So we waited for the officer to ran my information by occupying ourselves with work emails (Rey was playing games I think). He finally came back and said he will let me off for the tail light and seat belt, but he's citing me for no license nor insurance. 

Oh...just what I need couple days before my birthday. Why was I so stupid for not bringing my wallet!!

Oh there is always a first...But I do not recommend this experience.

I've been to Castro numerous of times, but I have never gone clubbing in Castro until last night. Boy, I've been missing out!

Interestingly enough, I didn't feel totally invisible as I expected. Everyone was very nice to me. A group of guys even told me I was very pretty! So happy~~ (Gosh, I hope they didn't think I was a guy though.)

Girls, if you want great music, good-looking guys (to look at only, sorry, no ordering), friendly smile, and never run into your ex, Castro is the place! (Unless you've turned your ex gay, then that's another story.)
